It Was Worth It
The doula provided by the birthing center was of no use to Jenny when the time came. The doula wiped her brow and tried to soothe her.
The contractions were strong and there was little time to do much more than breathe between them.
Jenny suddenly shoved the woman away and screamed as she pushed hard. She was as eager to get this over with as the baby was to be born.
A few pushes later she had her baby boy in her arms. He was perfect and worth every moment of pain. She cried tears of joy at last.
