SUMMARY: description of a mountain peak.
A/N: I just thought of the most peaceful place I could. I don’t know if its detailed enough for the assignment but this is how it came out in my head.

MOUNTAIN'S PEAK
The sky is the color of cornflowers at this altitude. The fluffy clouds drift slowly creating shape after shape as they go. A lone eagle circles overhead. Its screeching cry fills the air.
The tall pines crowd the slope. Each one is trying to be the tallest. Their limbs invade each other’s space. The smell of pine pitch and wet leaves fill the senses. The chilled damp seeps into everything.
The scurry of a small animal breaks the silence created by the eagle’s cry. The cracking of twigs and the rustling of leaves mark it’s path. The sound lessens as the little furry creature moves away.
The trickling of a stream can be heard in the distance as it travels to the valley below. Silver water flows over smooth rocks. Fish travel from here to there.
The dappled sunlight falls on the outcrop of rock. The moss and lichen cover the hard stone. Greens and grays lay mottled on its surface.
This is a place. This is the mountain's peak.
