Puff nudged the bowl of macaroni and cheese away from him. Even though it was his favorite food, he wasn't hungry. He was sad.

Aura could tell the little earth dragon was upset when the came back from the dragon sanctuary.

Myra, Puff's mate, had a setback. Her illness had been improving until a few days ago.

"Puff, Myra be fine. Babycats will adjust her medication. She'll be up and around again in no time." Aura pushed the bowl back in front of him. "Eat you dinner, Myrdren."

Puff ate his dinner then went to his bed by the hearth.

Aura walked out on the balcony of the Crystal Palace. She always felt constricted when they had to be in Zestra. She had been feeling the need to shift for days. She had been ignoring it but now she couldn't any longer. Her skin was crawling as her scales threatened to erupt on their own.

Aura looked around to make sure there was no one around. She dropped her robe and took a deep breath. She shifted into a red gold dragon. She rose into the air and headed towards the dragon sanctuary.

She felt calm and free once more.
