Alice Jax lifted the blanket off the top of the trunk. She opened it then stepped back wincing.
"I know that smell." Shelly blinked her eyes and pulled her jacket over her face.
"Yeah he's a bit tangy." Looks like he's been here a week. Alice waved Shelly into the hallway. "Are you going to tell me why you were looking for this guy?"
"His sister hired me to find him." Shelly leaned against the wall. "She was worried about him."
"So she wouldn't know anything about why the Chinese mob was after him then?" Alice looked back into the room at the trunk. "Looks like he was in over his head."
"She said he had a new job and a new girlfriend." Shelly told her.
"You wouldn't know where to find her would you?" Alice pulled out her phone to call in to the precinct.
"China Town?" Shelly shrugged. "Sorry Alice."
"Tell Bryce he owes me." Alice turned to talk on the phone. "It's Jax. I have a body at 342 Lindley apartment E. "
