Dionne worked in the kitchen garden as she pondered on the cycle of things. Just a few short weeks ago the plants she was weeding around were nothing more than seeds in a jar. Today they were tall and strong. Soon they were going to bear fruit and vegetables and they would die.
It was the same cycle for all life. She sighed as she thought about the end of summer and the death of the plants she was caring for. It all seemed sad. These plants would leave seeds to be planted next year so the cycle would continue.
