It seemed that the obloquies kept coming. Don was getting really tired of it. He didn’t deserve the abuse and name calling that he was getting from the crowd when he was trying to help.
If these people were as good at working together as they were calling names then they should have already found the lost child.
Don called out to the sheriff and waved him over. He decided that he had better step aside and let the people cool off.
As he moved off he heard the obloquies flying at her back. It was never going to stop. He would just have to live with the blame of something he never did.
