One Needed Tome

Lady Aura, a small dark haired Draconian and High Priestess of Una climbed the stairs of the Draconis house to the surprisingly well organized attic. She passed shelves of books and trunks of things until she came to what she was looking for.

Aura looked at the two high shelves just at the eaves of the roof of the turret. She wrinkled her nose as she tried to read the lettering on the large leather bound books. The bottom shelf held fourteen thick volumes none of which she needed. The top shelf held another ten. She didn’t need any of them either.

Aura sighed and wished she had faerie wings like her younger sister, the Princess. She couldn’t read the lettering on the smaller books from where she was. One of them was what she needed. It was the grimoire with the potion in it she was looking for.

She tapped her nose with a reddish gold nail and looked around at the trunks. They were all too heavy to drag to the shelves without magick.

She smiled and came up with a solution. She held out her hand and one by one she used her magick to take all the eighteen books off the shelves until she found the one she was looking for. It was the very last one, of course.
