Endora knocked on the door of Paddrick’s chambers. The door opened and Paddrick smiled at her.

“Paddrick, come with me. I have something to show you.” Endora said.

“What is it?” Paddrick was puzzled.

“You will know in just a few moments.” Endora smiled. She dragged him along to the top of the tower overlooking the meadow.

Paddrick gasped for breath. “What are we doing up here?”

“Just wait!” Endora told him. “Look there.”

Little lights twinkled here and there among the meadow flowers in the twilight.

“Fireflies!” Endora exclaimed. “Aren’t they beautiful?”

“Not as beautiful as you.” Paddrick said.
