Grim Ranger climbed the rope ladder to the crow’s nest. He looked out over the water and saw what he was hoping he would see. The sandy shores of Dragon Tail Cove were just a few leagues away.

Just the sight of land alone was worth the climb up the swinging rope ladder. There were parts of sailing a ship Grim just didn’t like.

He would weigh anchor as soon as they reached the cove. It was a safer place to be than the last port. Ships had left the Old World to get the gold in the new one.
