Horace looked to the craggy cliffs of Dragon’s Peak as he carried the trash from the kitchen of Brimstone Tavern.

The phoenix had roosted there for as long as he could remember. The smoke had started to rise over the nesting site. That only meant one thing. The babies were hatching.

Some say the phoenix were the first to come to Ogham-Duir. Others say it was the Draconians. Whoever it was, they would both claim they were the first.

By midafternoon the skies would be black with sooty smoke made when the fiery babies incinerated their shells as they hatched.
